Cannabis Trade Association Constitution

The Cannabis Trade Association is a registered non-profit association committed to promoting a safe and legally regulated cannabis industry.

We represent cannabis industry producers, distributors, warehousers, merchants, cooperatives and manufacturers.

CONSTITUTION

1. The name of the society is the Cannabis Trade Association.

2. The purpose(s) of the society (are):

(a) To promote a safe and legally regulated cannabis industry.
(b) To undertake a leadership and spokesperson role to effectively address collective cannabis industry issues.
(c) To be a central representative body to put forward the views of individuals, companies and organizations to government departments and agencies regarding all aspects of cannabis trade policy development.
(d) To provide a group forum for information, education, commentary, discussion, guidance and advice on all regulatory developments of the cannabis industry.
(e) To serve as the organization for consensus building among cannabis industry producers, distributors, warehousers, merchants, cooperatives and manufacturers.
(f) To provide cannabis growers with an informed and effective voice in the cannabis agriculture industry, and to work with government in a responsible manner to ensure government policies and regulations do not provide competitive disadvantages.
(g) To serve as the unifying force in working with government to ensure that all cannabis industry interests are considered in regards to regulatory affairs.
(h) To take an interest in, and positions on, a wide range of issues which concern the well being of all those engaged in any aspect of the cannabis industry.
(i) To coordinate areas of common ground with all parts of the industry, including its customers and consumers.
(j) To work towards providing a solid source of information, security and opportunity for the total cannabis industry.
